IP5 1JF Saturday 8th May, 2010, 09.30 to 15.30

Cost £10

In a series of linked themes, the day will include an exploration of the sometimes sweet and sometimes sour aspects of art, looking at both the beautiful and the less than beautiful. It will attempt to explore the minds of artists from the 14th to the 21st centuries. An overall aim will be to grasp something of what art is, what art does, and what art is for.

Presenters for the day will be Chris Gushing B.A. and Tony Taylor M.A., both of whom have studied art formally, and have a very strong interest in art history. Both also have long experience in leading art appreciation studies in local USA groups.
